    Sessions are typically 60 min for individuals and 90 min for couples.

  • Cost

    A 60 min psychotherapy session for individuals is $100 to $190, a 90 min session for couples is $150 to $310, depending on your clinician.

What is the frequency and duration of psychotherapy

When we first meet with clients, we like to meet weekly to establish our relationship, our goals, what the plan is, and get some momentum going. From there, we can typically reduce the frequency as needed as things improve. Of course, scheduling, finances, and life influence availability and frequency, so we are not rigid about this.

Can i claim psychotherapy services as an expense?

If you have insurance coverage for psychotherapy services, you may be able to use your benefits. Please contact your insurance company directly. Psychotherapy services are also an eligible medical expense on your income tax return. If you insurance company does not yet include coverage, see resources here to advocate for coverage

How many sessions does psychotherapy take?

Therapy is always voluntary. We encourage you to notice if or what helps, what doesn’t, and we can navigate together what best meets your needs. Some clients may only come for a single session, but typically, most clients will attend for a series of sessions. These can be spread out over months or even years. They can be weekly, or sporadic. Again, we can explore what best suits you.
