Our Team

Naomi Yano, MSc, RP

Clinic Director and Supervisor

I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor, Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) and EFT Supervisor. I specialize in relationship dynamics, working with intimate partner relationships, whether you are dating, cohabiting, married, some form of “it’s complicated!” or navigating a non-conventional relationship. I am also passionate about how relationship dynamics influence your relationship with your self.

I studied psychology and sociology at the University of Toronto, theology at several seminaries, and completed my Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy in California.

I believe that our early experiences shape many relational patterns that we engage in today (have you ever said, I will never act like my mother, and then found yourself doing the same thing)? Sometimes we rationally know what to do differently, yet we have a hard time actually doing it in the heat of the moment. I want to help you integrate your head and your heart or body.

You are an expert in our own experience, no one knows you like you do. I am here to facilitate the discovery of your own wisdom, especially when you are having difficulty connecting with it.

Éva Norris, MDiv, RP (Qualifying)

Associate Therapist

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with an MDiv in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. Before my career as a therapist, I worked as an elementary school teacher and studied history and languages. At my core, I am an educator passionate about helping others and dedicated to lifelong learning. My approach is relational, systemic, and strength-based. I am primarily informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy and Family Systems theories and hold an empathic and non-judgmental stance. I work collaboratively and relationally, recognizing that you are the expert of your unique story.

I believe our relationships with ourselves, partners, family, and friends can often be the source of our greatest joys and deepest pains and frustrations – I’ve been there. Through my own growth journey, I have learned that our families of origin, environments, and societal contexts have a real impact on us. I offer my expertise and experience to help you look at the past, to better understand the present, and to work with you to move toward positive and lasting change. I help you identify and draw on your strengths to increase your resiliency and meet your goals.

Whether you are experiencing relational issues, family tension, a life transition, stress and anxiety, unresolved trauma, low self-esteem, loneliness, depression, or just need someone to talk to, it would be an honour and joy to walk with you as your therapist in your healing journey. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

Liliya Omelina, Ma, RP (Qualifying)

Associate Therapist

Adversity is more bearable when we have safe relationships in our lives. Greater life satisfaction, resilience, and creative adaptation are possible when we cultivate a good relationship with ourselves. This inner connection forms the foundation for navigating challenges and finding strength, and I am here to walk alongside you on this journey.

I am aRegistered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and currently completing a postgraduate art therapy program with the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute, along with Gestalt therapy training through the Moscow Institute of Gestalt and Psychodrama. My professional path has been diverse, yet my passion for supporting people has always been at its core. In my work, I draw on humanistic approaches and take a holistic view, honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, and emotions.

I provide both talk and art therapy in English and Russian languages. The transformative potential of art is deeply inspiring. It allows us to connect with our inner world, better understand underlying emotions, and explore what lies beyond conscious awareness. Art therapy provides a gentle yet powerful way to work through trauma and give a voice when words are not enough. No prior art experience is necessary—it is not about the final product but the process of creation itself.

I invite you into a safe, compassionate space to explore the transformative power of art-making, whether you are navigating life’s challenges, seeking clarity, or simply curious about the healing potential of creativity. Let’s art!

Jane Tsai, Masters in process

Intern Therapist

There's no thought, decision, or experience that is inherently good or bad - for they are all emotional imprints to be transformed into sources of strength and wonder. And that's what I'm here for. I do not believe in band-aid approaches that offer temporary happiness; but rather to help you confront and grapple with life's most intricate emotions and experiences, and emerge with a profound sense of meaning and fulfillment.

I'm currently completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology to become a Registered Psychotherapist. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Psychology from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto, and have worked in different capacities at multinational corporations. I have lived a rather nomadic and varied life - moving and working from country to country, calling each place my home, each community my people. I have changed paths and started anew on numerous occasions, each time humbled by the people and experiences I encounter.

With these lived experiences, I have come to see therapy through a humanistic and emotion-focused approach, rooted in self-exploration and self-awareness. I would be honoured to join you on your journey, to work with you in navigating your complex inner world - whether it be relationship troubles, major life transitions, personal development, or just reaching for something more to life. Let's get started.
